What's it like living in Lukang?
Lukang is a historical town located at west central Taiwan. The population of the town, consist mostly with seniors and children, is approximately 50,000. It is considered at a small town when compared to the other major cities in Taiwan. People in the town are relatively conservative but very friendly. The living expenses (room, food, and miscelanious costs) in Lukang is around NT$10,000 per month. Since the school offers free accommodation for the teachers, most the teachers are able to save a lot of money through their contracted year.
